But what is the Bible? Where did it come from?
At the very beginning, there was the Most High God. He said, “let there be light!” and then there was light. In this way, God made all things. Finally, He made people in His own image, to rule and care for the world. When He was finished, he looked and saw that the world was very good.
However, the first people we’re deceived by a spirit. They offended God and disobeyed Him. From that day, people’s relationship with God was destroyed. We brought a curse on God’s good world.
But God still loved his creation. He sent His Son Jesus into the world. Jesus suffered and died in a cross, in our place. On the third day Jesus came back to life. Today He promises forgiveness for everyone who trusts in Him.
The Dzongkha Bible tells the history of Jesus’ life and teaching. It shows how we can be forgiven for our sin and start new life.
